Virginia Health Workforce Analysis Dashboard
The Mason Center for Health Workforce is building a dashboard to provide data and information relevant to health workforce planning and analysis. It will include measures to assess:
- the health needs of state and regional populations
- employer demand/needs for health, behavioral health, and social services workers to support those needs; and
- the education and training pipeline producing new entrants for health, behavioral health, and social services occupations
Estimates the distribution and demographics of health, behavioral health, public health, and social services professionals and the capacity of and graduates from training and education programs.
Job Growth and Outlook
Estimates of workforce demand are based on outlooks for job growth, annual openings, and reports from employers on vacancies, turnover, and time to fill positions in their organizations.
and Economic Conditions
Demographic characteristics of the population, indicators of community health status, and multi-sector infrastructure and resources for health, behavioral health, public health, and other relevant resources.
